Collection and Use of Information

Personal Information

When you use or register with us, Sterling System (Sterling) may collect information from you including personal information (name, e-mail address, address, zip code, telephone number) and, if applicable, employment information (desired specialty, title, geographic location, compensation).  This information may be stored indefinitely and may be collected and processed in one or more databases maintained directly or indirectly by Sterling. From time to time, Sterling may also ask you for other information via surveys or emails, such as information regarding your areas of interest, your likes and dislikes regarding the site, your career goals, services that you would like offered on this site, and other such information that will help us improve the service and features made available to you.

We use information collected through this site or emails, including personal information, to perform our services.  We may contact you regarding changes to and new job offerings, and we may also send you e-mails or marketing information related to our services.  

Resumes

As a user of Sterling, you have the option of submitting your resume to us in order to apply for an employment opportunity.  By doing so, your resume may be forwarded, transmitted, or ported to third-party clients of Sterling or other third parties for consideration (which may include recruiters or placement consultants). 

Aggregate Information

Sterling collects information about use of this site, such as the pages users visit most frequently, the services users access the most, and the links to other sites that users most often visit.  Sterling only uses such data in the aggregate.  This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users, and how we can improve the services and features provided to the users.  Such aggregate information will never contain any identifiable personal information. 

IP Address 

An IP (Internet Protocol) address is assigned to your computer each time you establish a connection on the Internet.  Sterling uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to otherwise administer this site.   

Cookies  

Sterling may use "cookies" to maintain and track your sessions on this site.

Disclosure of Information

In the event that you transmit e-mail, instant messages  or any other message, information, feedback, data, question, comments, suggestions or other items to this site (including the sterling-system.com domain), or to any related or affiliated site, such communication shall become the property of Sterling and may be utilized by Sterling in connection with its operations, services and business, and Sterling shall have the unrestricted right to any ideas, concepts, know-how, software, documentation, diagrams, drawings, or techniques contained in your communication in any manner and for any purpose whatsoever including, but not limited to, developing, creating, or marketing our products and services. 

Security and Internet Use Considerations

Remember to close your browser window when you have finished your work.  This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe.
